How do I stay grounded?

How do I stay grounded?

Something that we begin to forget is how to remain grounded. We often become overwhelmed with our daily responsibilities such as all the things we need to accomplish around the house, our 9-5 jobs, our families and children and all of the extra things we need to do on the weekend. We become so invested in our checklists that we often forget to breathe, to take a moment to be in our thoughts and be connected to our beautiful Mother Earth.

There are many ways to stay grounded and we’re sure one will work for you.
At times it takes a step out of our comfort zone to accomplish this goal, to stay grounded.

Breathwork is a big contributor to calming down our nervous system. Reminding yourself to take deep breaths can help with relaxation. Often guided meditation is used for beginners as focusing on a calm voice/instruction can help the automatic bodies response to stop, calm down, breathe and relax. Breathwork can be done anywhere at any time.

Be with nature is another way to become grounded. Spending time in the outdoors exploring all things our beautiful Earth has got to offer can help us become in tune with nature. Moving your body outdoors can produce endorphins. Whether it is going for a walk, doing yoga outdoors, sitting in the grass in a nice warm day, going for a swim in the ocean – nature will always be there for you.

Practice mindfulness, perhaps in the form of journalling, saying affirmations, positive talk, uplifting thoughts, spacing yourself from any negativity in your life. These practices can help you become your highest self, stay grounded, positive and mindful.
