Just say you want to access your highest self and you’re hoping to get your crystal to help you get to that point. Do you just buy your crystal, pop it in your purse and hope for the best? We say no way.
It’s important that when you purchase your stone that you’re cleansing as soon as you get home. When you purchase a crystal from a store or online you need to think of the process it took to get your crystal to you. Your crystal has been on a journey and has been in the hands of many different people and exposed to various energies.
You want your crystal to have the energy saved for just you – so charging it up when you first get your crystal helps with when you’re going to program your crystal and set the intention.
To charge your crystal there is multiple ways to do this, all depending on your personal preferences. We recommend placing your crystal on a piece of selenite as we find it is an easy way to get your crystal completely cleansed. Other ways you can do this is by the full moon, sage, incense and much more. You can always read our previous blog post “How to cleanse your crystals” for more information.
When your crystal is all cleansed, take the time to hold your crystal in your hands. Imagine opening yourself to the crystal’s energy. You may be wanting to hold the crystal up by your heart to connect your heart chakra with the energy flowing from your crystal. Whilst you’re having your eyes closed and holding your crystal, think of your intention clearly within your mind.
Once you feel connected and ready, say your intention out loud. Before placing your crystal down and rushing off, continue to hold your crystal and once you feel like your energy is one that is when your intention has been set.
Programming your crystal helps become your highest self, achieve your goals, wants and desires by working alongside the crystal. Remember that you need to do the work with the crystal, and it will help guide your pathway in life.
